BRIDGED is a nonprofit dedicated to creating more disability-inclusive communities by empowering individuals with disabilities, parents, and educators to confidently navigate disability. 

Founded in 2021 by two parents of children with disabilities, BRIDGED was born from both lived experience and professional expertise navigating disability systems. Today, the organization serves as a trusted resource for individuals, families, and communities seeking practical guidance, meaningful connections, and opportunities to build greater understanding.

While many of our programs directly support individuals with disabilities and their families, others educate the broader community to reduce stigma, increase understanding, and foster disability-inclusive communities. BRIDGED’s work centers on five core audiences:

Parents and Caregivers: Parent Training classes, educational workshops, and practical resources that help families better understand special education, navigate the IEP process, and confidently support their children.

Schools and Educators: Disability awareness programs for students and professional learning experiences that equip educators to build more welcoming, informed, and supportive school communities.

Professionals: Training and educational resources that help nonprofits, healthcare providers, businesses, and community agencies better serve and include individuals with disabilities.

Faith-Based Organizations: Pilot program of training and practical resources that help churches and other faith communities create welcoming environments where individuals with disabilities and their families can fully participate and belong.

The Broader Community: BRIDGED's annual Disability Resource Expo, along with our Disability Resource Guide, connects individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and professionals with local services, providers, and support while creating opportunities for the broader community to learn, engage, and build meaningful connections.

By bringing together education, resources, and community connection, BRIDGED helps reduce barriers, increase confidence, and expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families. Through this work, we foster empathy, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen community partnerships to help create communities where every individual is valued, invited, and recognized as having a unique purpose.
