Welcome, Greenville County nonprofits! This page is your go-to guide for joining the Give Greenville Nonprofit Directory. Whether you're just getting started on the directory or looking to optimize your profile, you'll find everything you need here.

Who Can Participate?

Nonprofits who join the Give Greenville platform must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Are recognized 501(c)(3) organizations by the IRS

  • Are in good standing with the South Carolina Secretary of State, in compliance with the Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act  (using their Charity Search Tool)

  • Serve the Greenville County, SC area

Give Greenville is more than a listing. It's a fundraising and community visibility tool created in direct response to local feedback.

About the Platform

This directory is powered by Mightycause, a trusted platform nationwide that helps nonprofits increase visibility and manage donations. 

Mightycause offers nonprofits:

  • Direct, Secure Donations: Donations go directly to your nonprofit via Mightycause. You control your profile and donor messaging.
  • Built-in Tech Support: Mightycause provides direct support to nonprofits for setup, donation tools, and troubleshooting — so you always have access to expert assistance when you need it.

The directory is coordinated locally by Greater Good Greenville to connect the community with nonprofits and reduce barriers to giving.

How to Set Up Your Profile

Once your registration has been submitted, you can sign in to the Mightycause platform as a nonprofit administrator.

Your To-Do List on the dashboard will guide you through each step required to complete your profile. 

Step 1: Complete Your Organization Page

Introduce your organization to potential donors by filling out the core details on your profile. A clean, visually appealing profile builds trust with donors and increases engagement.

Make sure to:

  • Write an engaging, but brief “About” section that shares your mission and impact

  • Upload your logo

  • Add a banner photo to personalize your profile

Step 2: Add Disbursement Information

Set up how you’ll receive donations. Donations made through Give Greenville go directly and securely to your nonprofit via Mightycause. Your information is stored safely and used only for processing donation payouts.

  • We recommend using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for faster, easier disbursements. This will also save you a $5 check processing fee. 
  • Please ensure your banking details are accurate and up to date to avoid delays.

Step 3: Customize Your Thank You Messaging

Create meaningful connections with donors through personalized messages. 

Customize both:

  • Thank You page: Message displayed immediately after a donation

  • Thank You receipt: Email automatically sent to the donor with their receipt

Step 4: Profile Review & Approval

Once you've completed all items on your To-Do List:

  • Your profile will be reviewed by our team (please allow 1-2 business days)

  • Once approved, it will go live and public on the directory

(Optional) Step 5: Test Your Donation Flow

Before promoting your page, we recommend running a test donation to ensure everything works as expected.

  • Check your thank-you messages and donation receipt

  • Review your donation notifications and reports
