I work at Able SC because I believe every South Carolinian deserves the chance to live independently, work meaningfully, and exercise their rights fully, regardless of disability.

As a person with a disability myself (ADHD, alcoholism (sober since April 13, 2018), anxiety, autism, CPTSD, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic major depression, hEDS, HS, GI disorders, MCAS, POTS, slipping rib syndrome, and thoracic outlet syndrome (among others), I chose this career because I believe in the power of mission-driven work and the importance of disability-led advocacy. Every day at Able SC, I see people with disabilities reclaim their independence, secure meaningful employment, and exercise their rights, far too often for the first time. I've witnessed how transformative it is when an organization trusts people with disabilities to lead, and I'm motivated by knowing that the work we do today creates systemic change that will impact South Carolinians for generations.

Your support helps me build the fundraising infrastructure that sustains this work: securing corporate partnerships, cultivating major donors, and creating sustainable revenue streams so Able SC can continue advocating for policy change, connecting people to employment, providing benefits counseling, and training the next generation of disability leaders.
